Bert Hellinger and Jamie

 

Jamie Lee
Jamie has a MA in human development and currently teaches English at Oglala Lakota College.  She has been writing both fiction and nonfiction for the past twenty years and also conducts workshops in NLP, Family Constellation Work, and lots of different writing workshops. 

During 2007, Jamie's novel, Washaka--The Bear Dreamer won The Ben Franklin Award for "Best New Voice in Fiction."  It was also a finalist in the PEN USA Literary Awards and ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year Awards.  To top off a very good year, the novel was accepted into the Accelerated Reader and Scholastic Reading Counts programs for schools. 

She likes to garden, scribble, play with small children, teach older children, paint dull rooms, and talk to and work with her husband Milt Lee.
